Challenge

We were approached by an undisclosed company to develop and support a groundbreaking security app using beacon technology for 40 globally-located offices. We were selected for this project because of our extensive work with beacon technology and our superior designed-in-house FreshBeacons.

Solution

What we designed was an iOS application and dashboard to be used in conjunction with multiple beacons throughout the company’s 40 offices. The app can be used to manage beacon and app users in real time to ensure the safety of the thousands of employees moving about the buildings daily.

Employees and guests can see their location in the building, search for conference room, and use a “request assistance” bluelight that alerts security staff members to their location. Through stations, calls are placed to the closest regional security control room and an email is automatically sent with the user’s GPS location, as well as other available location data. This app represents a fully-connected security system that incorporates both communication and location capabilities.

As with much of what we do at Fresh Digital Group, we are redefining the collaboration of tech innovations and utility with our development methods, project management approach, extensive testing and combined mobile expertise. We expect this product to redefine building security, employee safety and raise efficiency in office spaces around the world.





CELEBRITY PAGE

Challenge

We were approached by Unconventional Studios who produces the entertainment content video for OK!TV’s, now Celebrity Page, nationally syndicated TV show and events. We were asked to create a unique digital solution for its fans, and the 82 million adult Meredith Digital audience that acts as its premier partner.

Solution

Fresh Digital Group created an application that will feature lifestyle content from the Meredith brands such as Better Home and Gardens, Shape, Parents, Martha Stewart Living and Allrecipes. The app will also have content from the shows that air daily in 70 markets, specific celebrity charities, brand partners and other entertainment driven content that. The IOS app is the first of a tiered launch, we expect the Android app to launch in the summer of 2016, with Apple TV and Roku apps to follow suit a launch in the fall. Fresh Digital Group is proud to produce products that leverage the unique and powerful digital characteristics of OTT to drive audience, media spend and creative content for the Celebrity Pages brand globally

FRESHSWAG
Product

Opportunity

Develop the experience in a very modular native form. Our goal is to be able to plug this into every major event app with ease. We will be able to swap out creative, brand sponsorship, gift bag contents, etc. from the back end and have the changes reflected in the app. The event itself will be able to sell in the sponsorship to major brand who want to give out these digital gift bags.

Solution

Fresh Digital Group developed an iOS application that works to connect event sponsors to attendees in a creative and efficient way. Upon entering the event’s code in the app, users can view, track, and like a selection of promoted gifts all throughout the event. Taking this one step further, users can sign-in and build a personalized gift list where they can review event gifts or send them to friends.

Users can save coupons they received from event sponsors to their profiles and redeem them at any date before expiration or donate them to friends or sponsored charities. Users can then earn more coupons and gifts by answering trivia questions on the app.

Our intelligent system tracks each visit, view and engagement, providing a detailed report for every event placement. We deliver ROI measurements that enable more efficient targeting as well as overall improved performance and engagement monitoring.



MyTurn
Product

Opportunity

“It’s my turn!” “No, it’s my turn!” Fresh Digital Group saw an iOS and Apple Watch app as a convenient solution to the classic parenting issue of who goes first, who’s turn is next with a randomized spinner.

Solution

The MyTurn app offers you the fastest, easiest, most fun solution to this sticky situation. Users add the names of anyone competing for a turn and tap “GO” to engage a randomized spinner. The app represents a fair way to choose between you children, friends, etc. in a fun way. The design itself is meant to appeal to children with fun characters and animation. Users can even create personalized profiles for the names on the spinner, including uploading a photo. Finally, the app is easy enough to navigate that kids themselves can use it.

Highlights

The app has received a 5-star review on the iOS store with 11 reviews—a high number for an Apple Watch app.





Bust a Bug
Product

Opportunity

Fresh Digital Group saw a chance to make something useful for users and that would increase the general utility of the Apple Watch by designing an entertainment app for the device.

Solution

Fresh Digital Group designed a fun-to-play Apple Watch Game where the user is tasked with overcoming a bug invasion. Players tap on bombs to activate them and move them towards the bugs to blow them up. Users score and reach higher levels by blowing up as many bugs as possible. Given the nature of the Apple Watch, the app’s easy navigation is an essential feature we accomplished through a combination of screen touch and Digital Crown scroll navigation.

We have made the generally no-nonsense Apple Watch into a place where users can enjoy themselves and kill time just by looking at their wrist.The app is designed to increase engagement by giving vibrations to your wrist when you hit or miss. We have incorporated a social aspect to the app that allows users to share their high scores with friends and see who has reached the highest level. We have managed to provide a seamless pairing of the Apple Watch with users’ iPhones which displays large tutorials for first-time gamers.



HEALTHY YOU

Opportunity

It is a widely recognized flaw in the healthcare industry that patient treatment education is generally overlooked or neglected. This lack of patient treatment education is one of the main reasons hospitals, insurance companies and patients spend billions of dollars every year on re-admittance. Fresh Digital Group sought to change that.

Solution

Healthy You was created and subsequently redesigned by Fresh Digital Group to provides a means of achieving significant cost savings and reduced liability in the hospital setting. The app optimizes and automates the standard ER procedures of any hospital and improves communication between patient and medical professional. The app utilizes video and information platforms preexisting in the healthcare setting to educate patients and facilitate informed consent. Healthy You’s intuitive layout allows for seamless navigation to useful info, independent of the potentially hectic ER setting.

This app represents one of the most efficient ways to prevent readmissions by educating the patient on their own medical needs, potentially resulting in billions of needles medical expenses saved. Medical professionals can now direct their patients to an easy-to-use app on their phones for all the information they could ever need on their condition, freeing doctors up to help others.
